Through the cold and windy weather (it's been an average of 25 degrees for the past two weeks...this is the South, right?), we have brought the League of Extraordinary Students and childhood literacy awareness to the campus of the University of Georgia!
Beginning on the 14th, the League's promo team (which is made up of 5 totally awesome, totally dedicated PR students) have covered the campus with fliers and bookmarks advertising just how easy it is to be EXTRAORDINARY!
Next week, we will be meeting with all sorts of student groups to tell them about how they can help promote childhood literacy. If you or anyone you know is a member of another campus organization at UGA, let us know! Our goal is to get 10 groups registered and fundraising by May!

We're Official!
Welcome to the League of Extraordinary Students OFFICIAL blog! No, this is not one of those wannabe, poser blogs that pretend to be the real thing; this is the real thing!
On this blog, we will be posting any and all relevant things about the League (like Member updates, team news, etc.), news about the Ferst Foundation and things about childhood literacy that we find interesting (or just news articles we find on CNN...)
We also want this to be another avenue, along with the message board, for you guys to help get more involved. As a member of the League, feel free to leave comments and suggestions about how to improve the League, fundraising and community service ideas and things about childhood literacy that YOU find interesting.
****And something else to think about, you are reading this right now because you were given the learning opportunities as a child that thousands of children in Georgia are deprived of. You all are doing your part to change this and we at the Ferst Foundation could not be more grateful!
